What is Revel?

Revel is a modern Craft Bar and event space, offering a curated selection of drop-in DIY projects and creative/lifestyle workshops. Revel's downtown space is a convenient and inspiring venue for everything from personal celebrations to corporate events. Oh, and we have a bar too ;)

What is the Craft Bar?

COVID-19 UPDATE: Until further notice, the Craft Bar is closed for DIY projects. Our space at 107 N. Hamilton St. is converted to a privately booked micro-event space and activity lounge with a relaxed living room feel. Reservations accepted now!
Feeling spontaneous? Drop in* to our craft bar any time during open hours and create! We have a rotating list of projects that are fun and easy to complete while chatting with friends and sipping a cocktail. The best part? They're all reasonably priced, and self-guided so you can work at your own pace. *NOTE: Reservations are recommended but not required. Drop-in space is often limited on weekends and workshop days and is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Where should I park?

Parking options are plentiful near Revel. Want proof? Take a peek at the handy parking map on our Contact page!
There are two public ramps within a block: Capitol North (218 E. Mifflin) and Dayton/Pinkney (21 E. Dayton). Metered street parking is available on N. Hamilton, the Capitol Square, and other nearby streets. Meters are not enforced after 6pm or on Sundays/holidays. There are limited free parking options (typically 2 hour limits) on nearby neighborhood streets. Please note that it may take more time to park when there are events downtown (Badger games, Farmer’s Market, etc.). Please leave yourself adequate time to find parking and get checked in!

Do I need to make reservations in advance?

For the CRAFT BAR, reservations are recommended but not required. You are always welcome to call or drop in and see if we have tables open! Please note that drop-in space is often limited on weekends and workshop/event days. Reservations can be made via email, phone, or DM!

WORKSHOPS AND SPECIAL EVENTS typically require reservations and payment in advance. The easiest way to sign up is via our website, though you may also call us to register.

Please note that we are only able to hold tables for 15 minutes after the assigned reservation time. Groups arriving more than 15 minutes late or no shows will forfeit their tables.

What is the dress code?

Sequined skirts, Badger overalls, vintage mumus - we love an excuse to have fun with fashion but want you to wear whatever you're most comfortable in. Just in case you do bust out the party dress, we have aprons available to wear if a project might get messy.

Is there an age limit for the Craft Bar and workshops?

Generally speaking our projects and space are designed for ages 18 and up. Children under 18 must be accompanied and supervised at all times by an adult. All guests will be carded when ordering alcoholic beverages.

Is Revel accessible?

Yes. There is a small stoop outside our front door that is generally navigable for wheelchairs and strollers. Our lower level space is accessible via a wheelchair platform lift. Please call us with questions or suggestions for how we could make your visit with us more comfortable.

Do you offer gift cards?

Yes we sure do! If you would like to give someone the gift of a Revel experience, please stop in or search "gift card" on the website to purchase a physical gift card. Cards may be picked up in-store or delivered to the recipient directly.

Electronic gift cards are also available for immediate or future delivery to the recipients' inbox. Customize your email and select the eGift Card value via this link (may need to copy + paste into your browser):

If I sign up for a workshop with friends can we sit together?

We always do our best to keep your #squad together. Please include a note on your reservation with the names of other people in your party, or shoot us an email ( so we can do our best to accommodate you!

What is your policy for workshop cancellations or no shows?

At the time of cancellation your payment will be refunded via the original payment method, minus $5 to cover payment processor fees and administrative time. Cancellations made less than one week in advance and no shows will be charged the full amount for the workshop or event.
