General

What is Revel?

Revel is a modern Craft Bar and event space, offering a curated selection of drop-in DIY projects and creative/lifestyle workshops. Revel's downtown space is a convenient and inspiring venue for everything from personal celebrations to corporate events. Oh, and we have a bar too ;)

Where should I park?

Parking options are plentiful near Revel. Want proof? Take a peek at the handy parking map on our Contact page!
There are two public ramps within a block: Capitol North (218 E. Mifflin) and Dayton/Pinkney (21 E. Dayton). Metered street parking is available on N. Hamilton, the Capitol Square, and other nearby streets. Meters are not enforced after 6pm or on Sundays/holidays. There are limited free parking options (typically 2 hour limits) on nearby neighborhood streets. Please note that it may take more time to park when there are events downtown (Badger games, Farmer’s Market, etc.). Please leave yourself adequate time to find parking and get checked in!

Do I need to make reservations in advance?

Reservations are accepted but not necessary for the drop-in Craft Bar. Our workshops and other events typically require reservations and payment in advance. The easiest way to sign up is via our website, though you may also call us to register.

What is the dress code?

Sequined skirts, Badger overalls, vintage mumus - we love an excuse to have fun with fashion but want you to wear whatever you're most comfortable in. Just in case you do bust out the party dress, we have aprons available to wear if a project might get messy.

Is there an age limit for the workshops or events?

Generally speaking our workshops and events are designed for ages 18 and up. Children under 18 must be accompanied and supervised at all times by an adult. All guests will be carded when ordering alcoholic beverages.

Is Revel accessible?

Revel is accessible via a wheelchair platform lift. Please call us with questions or suggestions for how we could make your visit with us more comfortable.

Do you offer gift cards?

Yes we sure do! If you would like to give someone the gift of a Revel experience, please stop in or contact us at hello@revelmadison.com and we'll make it happen!

Workshops

If I sign up for a workshop with friends can we sit together?

We always do our best to keep your #squad together. Please include a note on your reservation with the names of other people in your party, or shoot us an email (hello@revelmadison.com) so we can do our best to accommodate you!

What is your policy for cancellations or no shows?

We understand that plans change but request a minimum of 48 hours notice (via phone or email) for any cancellations. At the time of cancellation you will have the option of receiving a refund (minus $5 to cover payment processor fees and administrative time) or rescheduling for another workshop (pending availability and payment of any price discrepancy). Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance and no shows will be charged the full amount for the workshop or event. Please note that final counts for group reservations must be finalized 48 hours in advance. Any reductions in group size within 48 hours of the event start time will be charged at the full workshop or project cost.

I would like to lead a workshop at Revel, who should I talk to?

Great! We love meeting new creatives and keeping our workshop schedule full of diverse offerings. Please contact Sarah at hello@revelmadison.com.

Private Events

Can I host a private event at Revel?

Revel is a great venue for baby/bridal showers, birthday bashes, corporate retreats, photo shoots, and more. We offer multiple options for groups interested in private or semi-private events. Please contact us to discuss availability and pricing at hello@revelmadison.com.

What is your capacity for private events?

We have an occupancy limit of 49 people, including staff.

Do you allow outside catering for private events?

Of course! You are welcome to cater in food for your private event at Revel. We only require that it is from a licensed caterer or bakery. Homemade goods are not allowed to be carried in. Please note that all beverages must be purchased through us.

Revel Craft Bar (+ Food & Drink)

What is the Craft Bar?

Feeling spontaneous? Drop in to our craft bar any time during open hours and create! We have a rotating list of projects that are quick and easy to complete while chatting with friends and sipping a cocktail. The best part? They're all reasonably priced, and self-guided so you can work at your own pace.

Wait, you have a bar? And a liquor license?

Yup :) Cheers!

Can I drink but not do a project?

Why yes, you may! We understand why you might want to drop in just to see our beautiful bar and friendly staff. However, table space in the bar area is primarily meant for drop-in craft bar guests and we may claim it for our guests who will be creating.

What types of things are on your menu?

Revel offers a rotating selection of wine, beer, and signature cocktails. We also have a refreshing list of non-alcoholic drinks, as well as a menu of sweet and savory snacks just in case hunger strikes!
